University Alliance Metropolis Ruhr (UAMR)

KWI is the inter-university institute for research in the Humanities of the universities Bochum, Dortmund and Duisburg-Essen, which form the University Alliance Metropolis Ruhr (UAMR). The UAMR was founded by the three universities in 2007 to strengthen co-operation and to promote the Ruhr as a region of excellence in higher education.
