As a part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.humboldt-foundation.de\/en\/apply\/sponsorship-programmes\/humboldt-research-fellowship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Humboldt Research Fellowship Programme for Postdocs<\/a>, she will be working on the project \u201cBureaucratic Fiction: Narratives, Images, and Affects of Administration in Contemporary World Literature and Film (B-FILES)\u201d at her host institution, Institut f\u00fcr Germanisitik, Vergleichende Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iglk.uni-bonn.de\/de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IGLK<\/a>) at Bonn University.<\/p>\n<p>B-FILES discusses fictional works engaging with bureaucratic themes and forms as concentrated, multi-layered illustrations of a broader &#8216;discourse network&#8217; (Kittler) of contemporary administration, characterized by intricate linkages of political and symbolic power, technologies of data storage and encryption, signifying marks, bodies, and affective intensities.<\/p>\n<p>The project intends to create a database of fictional bureaucratic narratives in world literature and cinema, and to examine in two scientific articles and a book-length study bureaucratic fiction created after the year 2000, following a widespread shift from paper to digital records.
