{"id":7716,"date":"2021-09-14T12:29:34","date_gmt":"2021-09-14T10:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging-v2.kulturwissenschaften.de\/?p=7716"},"modified":"2021-09-28T10:21:06","modified_gmt":"2021-09-28T08:21:06","slug":"new-publication-becquer-seguin-edits-volume-on-the-spanish-economic-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kulturwissenschaften.de\/en\/new-publication-becquer-seguin-edits-volume-on-the-spanish-economic-crisis\/","title":{"rendered":"New Publication: B\u00e9cquer Segu\u00edn Edits Volume on the Spanish Economic Crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In August, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dukeupress.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Duke University Press<\/a> published\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/read.dukeupress.edu\/boundary-2\/issue\/48\/3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a special issue of the journal\u00a0<em>boundary 2<\/em><\/a>\u00a0titled \u201cThe Legacies of the Spanish Crisis,\u201d\u00a0which was\u00a0edited by\u00a0KWI International Fellow\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kulturwissenschaften.de\/person\/dr-becquer-seguin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">B\u00e9cquer Segu\u00edn<\/a>.\u00a0The issue examines\u00a0the political and cultural repercussions of Spain\u2019s decade-long financial crisis ten years\u00a0after the eruption of the\u00a0<em>indignados<\/em>\u00a0movement\u00a0in the summer of 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Bringing together established and emerging scholars of contemporary Spain, the nine essays in the issue take stock of how the global financial crisis has transformed different facets of Spanish culture, including literature, cinema, feminism, and party politics.
