However, making it a topic in the humanities is by no means a matter of course. Science studies predominantly focus on the natural sciences when examining popularization processes or the relationship between science, the public and the media. The model of a transfer of technological knowledge geared towards social relevance and usefulness dominates, while the task of the \u201csoft\u201d sciences whose aim is the understanding of culture(s) remains unclear in this field.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop symposium offers a forum for exchange and focuses on interdisciplinary self\u2010understanding through questions such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What research and findings exist on science communication in the humanities and cultural studies?<\/li>\n<li>How can the humanities position themselves in the field of science communication and how can they work out their strengths?<\/li>\n<li>How can the humanities learn from each other and in exchange with the natural and social sciences?<\/li>\n<li>How can they become a motor for methodological innovation in the practical field of science communication?<\/li>\n<li>Do the disciplines concerned with the arts (literature, music, art, film studies, etc.) have a special position in relation to knowledge communication?<\/li>\n<li>What is the relationship to politics, are there approaches that are relevant for political consulting?<\/li>\n<li>How does the call for science communication change the structure and orientation of the disciplines?<\/li>\n<li>What role does the respective language of communication play?<\/li>\n<li>How far may communication about science become internationalized?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","event_category":[460,44],"class_list":["post-14374","veranstaltung","type-veranstaltung","status-publish","hentry","event_category-events-in-english","event_category-kwi-on-tour"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kulturwissenschaften.de\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/veranstaltung\/14374","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kulturwissenschaften.de\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/veranstaltung"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kulturwissenschaften.de\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/veranstaltung"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.kulturwissenschaften.de\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=14374"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"event_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.kulturwissenschaften.de\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event_category?post=14374"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
