Building a strong scientific culture is an imperative for Africa. It is the true foundation for all scientific development and technological growth. I recently launched the project\u00a0 ‘Making Science the Star’ which brings together various skills such as film actors, filmmakers, musicians, writers and journalists. \n<\/strong>The KWI Colloquium provides a platform to present and discuss ongoing as well as emerging research projects. It does not solely address research projects from within the KWI, but is also open to guest lectures which tie in with the KWI\u2019s research agenda.<\/p>\n
