Die aktuelle Ausgabe der Open-Access Zeitschrift sub/urban für “kritische Stadtforschung” beschäftigt sich unter dem Titel “Die intime Stadt” mit “Kulturen der queeren Verbindung” entgegen der allgemein diagnostizierten Anonymität des urbanen Lebens. Teil der Redaktion ist auch KWI-Fellow Stefan Höhne. In Zukunft wird das Projekt darüber hinaus auch vom KWI unterstützt, sodass zukünftige Ausgaben auch in Print erscheinen können.

Eine weitere Publikation kommt von KWI-Fellow Iymon Majid. In einem Aufsatz in India Review schreibt Majid über gewaltsame Aufstände in Kashmir und interpretiert die Verbindung zwischen den Organisationen Hizb ul Mujahedeen und Jama’at e Islami neu. KWI International Fellow Alexandra Irimia veröffentlichte einen Artikel im “Journal of Flann O’Brien Studies. The Parish Review” unter dem Titel “Bureaucratic Sorceries in The Third Policeman: Anthropological Perspectives on Magic & Officialdom“. Der Artikel ist online abrufbar.
Recently, new publications by KWI members have been released:
The latest issue of the open-access journal sub/urban for “critical urban research” deals under the title “Die intime Stadt” (“The intimate city”) with cultures of queer connection against the generally diagnosed anonymity of urban life. Part of the editorial team is also KWI’s Stefan Höhne. In the future, the project will furthermore be supported by KWI financially, so that future issues will also be available in print.

Another publication comes from KWI Fellow Iymon Majid. In an essay for India Review, Majid writes about violent insurgencies in Kashmir and reinterprets the link between the two organisations Hizb ul Mujahedeen and Jama’at e Islami. The article and abstract can be found here.
